Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
With radeon drivers and KDE4 visual effects enabled the screen flickers
only on the right side of the screen. If I disable the effects the issue
disappear. I have an ATI X1400.

I tried now Ubuntu 9.04 to see if effectively the problem was the radeon
drivers, and it seems that, except some tearing sometimes, the
compositing works well, so I think that the problem comes from KDE4
visual effects. I change the package as well.

Errata corrige. The problem is also with radeon, because this problem
affects also compiz, but it's less visible than Kwin.

Sorry, I forgot to modify the report. I reported the bug on freedesktop
and the issue is already solved in the experimental radeon driver
packages.
