Hi,
on ubuntu 14.04 with kernel 3.13.0-93 everything with the screen
resolution is fine. (beneath some undeterministic flickering at the
startup..)
On ubuntu 14.04 with kernel 4.2.0-42 the screen resolution is not working
properly.
It is too big. One could barely log in (be

i just found out that kernel 4.2.0 is no longer supported for ubuntu
14.04 LTS. I will update the system and report back.

I did an update to kernel 4.4.0-36-generic #55~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Fri

The same login screen problems are here.
