Public bug reported:
running browser against local server and data base. That is running
browser, apache and sql on the same machine.
Did do an update a few days back and another after the freeze just in
case already found and fixed.

useing a drop down list on some form in the browser
instead of getting the list of items to select you get a black box then
you no longer are accepting input.
Note the mouse icon moves around but you can not see the clicks or the
keyboard.
You can ssh in from a remote and reboot.
