packages/xdiagnose/assistant.py from Python2 to Python3. Fix is to edit
that file and change the print statements to use new syntax.

Minor change with Alpha3 Live. Screen goes from spinner to pointer to

Don't consider it dupe - compiz not in play (Effects None).
Managed to get to GNOME by booting noapic. Horrible performance - top

Besides,. I'm booting a live CD. I don't see any /etc/X11/xorg.conf to be

Hopefully this will be fixed for the next LTS. My main desktop (HP
Pavilion A300n) is running 8.04 for this very reason.
Something to try that might improve stability is booting with ACPI=OFF.
However, the performance is hardly usable. It's about 5 sec between
