top 1/3 to 1/2 of the screen wallpaper is corrupted.

There have been a number of new releases of the xserver-xorg-video-intel
package since this bug was raised, but I'm still seeing sluggish
performance and screen corruption when the machine comes out of s2disk.

slangasek on #ubunt-devel suggested I also try using pm-hibernate.
I did the following:
1) restarted X to get rid of existing screen corruption.
2) logged in and made sure there was no corruption.
3) In an xterm ran "sudo pm-hibernate"
4) let the machine shutdown.
5)
d s2disk.

I suspend my laptop using "sudo s2disk" in an xterm.
Since the last xserver-xorg-video-intel and kernel update a couple of
days ago i've had three xserver hangs when coming out of hibernate.
Everything looks like its ok in the

Got it working.
The problem was that although grub2 was installed, grub1 was what was
actually being used.

touchscreen as a mouse device, but when running, the Xorg mouse pointer
does not respond to the touchscreen.

Running an upstream 2.6.34 kernel.org kernel, the touchscreen starts to do
something, but not anything correct or useful. Touching the screen causes
nautilus to open a bunch of Trash browser windows and continue opening more
until nautilus was killed (I was logged in via ssh as well).
