A small note concerning proposed xorg commits.
While they do fix all 3 bugs it seems to create one new very limited bug in
14.04 -
With a usb mouse nautilus will crash when opening folders on the desktop thru a
double l. click.

Same thing with a lenovo IdeaPad Y580 (sandybridge) except there it
doesn't even make it the low graphic pop up.
In both cases (sandybridge & previous laptop which is haswell) if I install the
nvidia drivers & reboot, it does boot up to an ubuntu session. From there
switching via prime profiles
Pretty simple here -
Will only successfully boot to greeter, ect. when nvidia drivers are installed.
If the drivers aren't installed then it either 'hangs' right after the fs check
on sandybridge or goes to low graphics pop up on haswell.
Once the nvidia drivers are installed then boot ups work

It would seem only useful when in a wayland session to switch from the intel
profile to the nvidia one before rebooting to an xorg session. I guess that

Sorry, forgot that I don't use wayland in practice as it's not close to ready
but should when testing.
To note: this doesn't occur in a gnome session where the context menu is opened
inside the header bar so maybe add ubuntu-session.

After going 5 weeks with no occurrences using " org.gnome.settings-
daemon.peripherals.touchpad disable-while-typing false", I re-enabled
the option.
Got a cursor freeze out of the blue in the midst of a 6 hr. session. At
the time of the freeze a 2nd instance of syndaemon was found to be
running.

Here when the freeze occurs 'randomly' there are always 2 syndaemon instances
but NO indication that lightdm is involved.
There are however 2 scenarios where lightdm is involved, but they are very
limited. One is sometimes on a live session, the other is the very first login
excellent, resolved here issues seen on Intel, now only returning FB
configs that have visuals -
