I have run apport-connect as requested.
Laptop still cannot suspend, and freezes when tryng to change brigteness of LCD
screen. It is however bit better as it doesn't freeze when plugging in power
supply.
Problematic element is definitelly graphic card Nvidia "Gallium 0.4 on NV86".

The only Tecra still supported via main website is M10.

Sorry, I have now found it now under “archived files” section and chosen

When executing it however in windows 7 (from dual boot) I got error message

This laptop was happily running 11.10 release but started to have
problem since upgrade to 12.04.
I have tried bot 32 and 64 release of both 12.04 and 13.04 - both behave the
same: any ACPI related operation hangs system. Those operations include:
plugging in / removing
I just did another test and have installed proprietary Nvidia drivers
(version current) through Jockey and on current kernel 3.2.0-45-generic-
pae and it also seem to help with ACPI.

with either nvidia drivers or development kernel, it kind of works

I have reinstalled Precise Pengolin using Beta 2 disk and laptop was
working fine. I say was, because it was till today when I have updated
it. It is failing with compiz and I have raised another bug 985893
Please let me know if you want to close one of them and want me to do
any more testing.
I have just realised that compiz problem after last update was caused by
updater crash - it has happened when I has watching youtube while updating
system.
I have booted to the recovery mode and run "dpkg --reconfigure -a" and system
is now fine.
All working fine without need for the Nvidia p
This laptop currently runs 11.10 without any problems, so we can close
this ticket.
When I will have a chance I will also test it with Precise Pangolin

Hell
Described crashes have occured when booted from Beta 2 USB stick.
I have now created separate partition for Precise Pangolin and installed
all patches.
The laptop now works fine and I can't replicate it again.
I will keep booting to 12.04 (11.10 is still installed on separate
partition) an
The memory card reader still doesn't work but at least doesn't crash the
system.

We can close this ticket as it came to light that this is most probably
caused to the hardware faults.
Laptop is still being used though without ACPI.
When security man lend me this laptop again, I will test it with Precise
Pangolin

I figured out that this problem was caused by no ACPI support.
To enable suspend, hibernation, screen saver and system shut-down you will have
to force ACPI by parsing "acpi=force" to the kernel. To do that edit
/etc/grub.d/10_linux and:
