As a workaround, I've discovered that switching to EXA acceleration
seems to work. To do that, open the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf and make
sure you have a section that looks like:

what it is about and if there is already a solution for a bug before

I've had this happen at least half a dozen times on my Lenovo T410 w/
Intel graphics. Every time this has happened is after the screen blanks
from power management and then I move the mouse to wake up the screen.
