This occurs every time my desktop enters sleep mode for 2+ minutes. the
screen crashes to a white screen. the mouse cursor is shown, but nothing
else. and I've only been able to remedy it by rebooting my system each
time this happens.

sorry for not getting back to you. i switched from Ubuntu 11.10 to widnows 7
for functionality issues. i determined that the starter NVIDIA graphics drivers
are either invalid, or incorrect (The ones that are preconfigured during
install) i suggest you have some of your team spend time developin
