I have a Dell laptop with a Magic Trackpad 2. A couple of days ago my system
crashed overnight and hung on reboot. Once I unplugged the trackpad, it came
right up. If I attach the trackpad to the running system it does not recognize
it.

As I said I added a libepoxy task and subscribed ubuntu-desktop as this
might be much more their home-turf to e.g. be up to date about known
cases why that would fail to initialize GTK/EGL.

Or if you had to reboot then instead run:
journalctl -b-1 > prevboot.txt
and attach the resulting text file here.
Also, while the problem is happening, does 'top' show any process using
high CP
Please explain in more detail what kind of problem you are experiencing.
