The freezing problems you experience on the Amilo L7320 laptops are not related
to the openchrome driver, it is a bug related to the APIC (or to a BIOS bug).
It started with Ubuntu 10.10 (kernel 2.6.35). The c
Timo - it looks like the packages been built and tested weeks ago in
your ppa.
May I ask what are we waiting for?
As per regression potential, I suggest to release it now for Yakkety,
and after several weeks of wider use without new issues, release to
Xenial.

I don't see any test results posted here. But I've heard elsewhere that
there are some GPU hangs with radeon which is why 12.0.6 is about to be
released.
There's not enough time to wait for weeks, 16.04.2 will be released soon
(if not a week from now as scheduled) and this is needed there. And the
there will be a 12.0.6 soon, which should fix this I hope.

1. Yes, to me personally at least since 16.04. I can't positively remember if
it was happening in 14.04, but I *think* it was.
2. Acer G236HL LCD monitor connected via VGA.

This bug appears in current (X)ubuntu 16.10.
Whether appears in 16.04 is unknown. (Perhaps not, else I could notice it
earlier.)
I tried to make a test in a virtual (virtualboxed) Xubuntu_16.04.1 - no bug!
Then I made a test in a (similar) virtualboxed Xubuntu_16.10 - no bug either!
