After having purged all of these files through recovery, and getting into tty,
I performed the following steps:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade (just to be sure)
sudo apt-get install --install-suggests fglrx-updates/wily-proposed
fglrx-updates-core/wily
glFinish and other flushing-commands (eg, eglClientWaitSyncKHR with the
flush bit) seem to be other alternatives that work, but those aren't
very good alternatives either.

Hi, i've been trying for some days to get the driver working, but whitout any
result. I actually don't understand why it worked on Ubuntu and not working

I can now switch from radeon to fglrx, but then it seems to prevent the

Okay I tried a second time - same steps with the addition of 'amdconfig
--adapter=all --initial' after installing fglrx and it works now.
I have the same issue as #202 now with weird artifacts though.

Hi,
After updating from vivid to wily I noticed my screen no longer boots in
UHD resolution. I can set the resolution during the session, but on next
login it returns back to full hd. This is a regression from vivid, where
the resolution worked without problem.

nimu, what will be most helpful is if you returned your packages to the
ones from the Ubuntu repositories (i.e. remove the PPA packages), then
added the PPA, then updated one package at a time from that PPA to find
