I have the same problem with 15.04 on a Thinkpad Carbon X1.
I found https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55821 and confirmed
that rmmod psmouse + modprobe psmouse seem to fix it.

whatever the nvidia version drivers I installed from the Ubuntu official depot,
my Nvidia Geforce GT 330M dos not use Nvidia drivers but Nouveau.
If I launch nvidia-settings the apps is empty, no information, the card is not
recognized.
