I would say that this bug is SEVERE, because you can lose important
work.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Lock compute
No idea, but it seems those bugs are probably just bugs in kde5, since I
don't hit them with 10.3 on amd64/i386, but I can reproduce something
similar with the kde5 ppa, without updating mesa.

I have been following this bug since I got the same issues. As of now, I
have blocked the updates on driver-common as suggested here et dowgraded
it. It solved the problem.
A new patch have been released, does this mean I can update the package
normally ?

I tested today with Plasma 4 and Plasma 5 images and the problems I
found seem to be unrelated to the mesa update. I also tested on a
machine with Plasma 4 and AMD hardware and the mesa update also seemed
to go smooth. I'd still rather this did not happen due to unforseen
issues we've had from si

seems to have been introduced fairly recently. I first noticed it on
Friday 19th Sept 2014. Other than some updated packages, the only

There isn't one. Trying to use a touchscreen to run regular desktop
linux has major usability problems, as I'm sure you've noticed!
My point is there is no mystery bug or hardware problem that's going to
be solved by looking in logs. evdev's buttom emulation only works for
touch pads, not touch

Hi Christopher. The BIOS I have is already an F8 version variant and I
would like to keep the variant. Further, I have not had this problem in

Maybe it has usability problems, but in many cases the touchscreen is
more confortable than a mouse. I don't believe that it is impossible or
very difficult to modify the code so that a touchscreen behave similarly
(or the same way) as the touchpad or mouse. In win8 Microsoft could do
