the code this applies to, so this may fail to apply soon. A fix is also
required in xserver-xorg-video-nouveau, because it doesn't handle
displayless cards correctly right now.

I'm also getting this bug from time to time (it's gotten better with this #9
update though).
Screenshot is attached.
Before I even got this "jittery"-graphics-bug on websites, not only
about:newtab. However until now i didn't get this behavior again.

I had the same problem - in ubuntu-tweak-tool i deactivated the blur
effects and dash and the "alt-tab" worked fine after that

I have installed the daily packages for Raring (version
1:0.9.9~daily13.06.11~13.04) and put back my Radeon in my desktop.
It is really more stable than the default raring version. No freezing
when I change virtual desktops. But I still have ALT-TAB freezes from

Sounds like the update to xorg-edgers triggered a fallback to vesa;
something broke in the installation. I've landed a couple of patches
which I think are going to be related, so if you can verify you have a
working setup with ppa:xorg-edgers that would be great.
