reproduced with the new version too, see bug 1127887, again using Totem
(Videos).
I clicked the thumbnail, the gui of Totem appear with only the duration of the
video, then the immediatly the crash without playing nothing.
The video is an mp4 downloaded from the net and perfectly work
Forget to mention that tty still working, but compiz and unity
completely disappeared, no clickable area in the video, mouse mouvable.

I think the intel driver is out of this bug and should be marked as
invalid.
The solution relies in the fglrx driver. I have tried the 13.2beta3
driver and it solves the problem.
If we don't want to go for this version, a Suse user on the
corresponding attached bug, reported that also 13.1 is ok.

Here is a little update on how i disabled intel card and fixed the bug
(wtith x / nvidia-settings) ...
This should be done from a terminal without a gui running so either do it via
1) recovery mode > terminal as root or 2) logout > alt+ctrl+f1
..if a sudo command isnt accepted run it as root with
(correction..)

I have a motherboard which is able to use both the integrated graphics
card and a dedicated graphics card at the same time.
The integrated graphics card is an RS880 [Radeon HD 4200] with two
outputs, powered by the foss radeon driver. To this I am trying to add a
