I have a problem, it seems apport-collect needs a browser in order to
get full access, however that computer have no gui, just a working
terminal. Is there an alternate way to get that information you need?
Like a cli command or something. I have read the Ubuntu documentation

I think this may be an nVidia issue. I just got the beta update to
304.48 of the nVidia binary blob and the lockups have suddenly stopped
on my system. The FPS in Second Life has gone up to around 10 (better
than the 0.7 at worst)

Is painfull for me to use "fglrx" (propietary drivers) with my AMD in
Elementary OS. Gala doesn't work well with those drivers because they
function properly in Ubuntu 12.04.
The unique solution I've found is to use "radeon" open source drivers
but I don't have 3D acceleration, I can't play games
I thought this bug was fixed, but today got the blank screen with mouse moving
again.

strange.
If you guys wanna cold down the computer using (opensource driver )while
official workaround doesn't comes out, just uninstall fglrx, remove
/etc/X11/xorg.conf file and run this commands:

When clicking and dragging Launcher icons, the edges of the buttons and
sometimes the backgrounds show corruption. It does not persist when they
are dropped. Unfortunately unable to provide visual evidence as Print
Screen doesn't work when clicking and dragging.

For those who have hybrid video Intel/AMD.
Install "xserver-xorg-video-intel" and "fglrx-updates" from this PPA[1].
After installing it, don't forget to setup "xorg.conf" with "aticonfig"
tool. That worked for me.
Obs: now, I'm in trouble trying to enable video GPU acceleration with
libva. =P

Okay, I got my machine working properly, but I had to go back to a
12.04-based distro (I used Netrunner). Here's how to get things working,

I also confirm that updating to xkb-data-2.5-1ubuntu1.4 does not fix
this issue.
There are fixes listed for two packages here, should there be an
updated libgtk2.0-0 or some other package in precise-proposed? Or is the

I have an hp dm4, with radeon hd 7470, and intel 3000, I get the same symptoms,
overheating, fan always on, and am unable to install amd drivers, I get the
same low graphics 'mode/ no unity problem'. My suggestion is to double check
that your card is actually supported by gh the 12,11 beta drive

The patch wouldn't apply for me, so I reapplied it by hand to
xserver-1.13.0, here it is.
Now, testing on OLPC XO-1.5 using the chrome video driver, I no longer
