after suspend and clicking works but tapping on the trackpad is like

The proposed fix, driver 295.49 does not work for my nvidia gtx 280
card. In fact it causes X to fail to launch altogether after some
recent ubuntu 12.04 updates. The beta driver 302.07 allows X to start
but compiz still always crashes for me and thus unity 3D will not work.

I too have removed the Nvidia proprietary driver for now and have seen
massive improvements in performance. The only drawback is that sound
doesn't play on an external monitor using a HDMI cable - but apart from

This error happens to me every time I reboot. I'm running 12.04 on a
