This also affects me. It seems to have a higher chance while browsing the web,
regardless of the browser I use.
When it freezes, nothing but the cursor responds. I am using drivers from
xorg-xserver-video-ati, no proprietary driver.

As Tom Cornell said in #24, my GeForce Go 7300 works now perfectly with
current nvidia drivers (using the /etc/environmet change to bypass the
blacklist), so at least this graphics card shouldn't be blacklisted
anymore. I didn't even try this before because in Oneiric, current
nvidia drivers caused
