sudo apt-get remove xserver-xorg-input-wacom
changes the behaviour. Previously, Settings>Input Devices>Trackpad
showed no devices. Now, it shows my Wacom CTT-460. Also, mtdev-test
still fails as above but geisttest seems to show the device working with
pinches.
