I have had similar problems but the mouse is slow only on the login screen
(e.g. similar to bug #947761).
After login its working fine. I have an ATI graphic card and HDMI connection on
AMD x86_64.
Kernel driver in use: radeon.

@jsalisbury, I have no further plans to do work on this bug myself.
Since upstream didn't seem interested in studying the issue further, I
just scrapped the memory in favor of certified sticks. If you need me
to test something I'm happy to, but you'll need to tell what you'd like.

I've tested this on my own fujitsu t4410, which is working fine now.
Able to use pressure sensitive drawing and erasing using stylus and
eraser devices in gimp. It did not use to work out of the box, so I
think this got fixed within the past year or two.

then login, become root and use the "shutdown -h now" command and see
the kernel oops a la fglrx.
