today. I'm not sure if there's anything further that can be done here

Can I disable Unity getting in the way? I've tried to disable "Unity MT Grab
Handles" plugin in ccsm, but it didn't work, obviously.
I have an old Eee PC 901 and I doubt that the touchpad has real multitouch

Can't get ATI driver to work on my HP Pavilion dv6-6185ex. I installed the
driver via jockey and X is working but fglrx is not loaded, so I tried to
manually load fglrx driver in xorg.conf by adding

I would also like to add that it has been like this for a real long time
on ubuntu for some reason.
I have tested Fedora 15 just now and selecting those options within gcc
make it work straight out of the box.
In my case (HPg60 468CA), i have a fix at startup to emulate and enable
such a feature

xinput...
In fedora 15, it works out of the box by clicking the two-finger
scrolling option with gcc - mouse properties & trackpad
