I have been doing testing of 11.10 Ubuntu beta 2 on a Gateway Netbook
LT31 with the ATI Radeon X1270 (RS690M) graphics card. The system is

I've got a HP Envy 17 which has two video cards, an Intel card and an ATI card.
Ubuntu identifies the ATI and ask if I would like to install the proprietary
drivers, event installing it the ATI card will not work since I do not have an
easy way to switch
I am no longer experiencing any screen corruption, either at the desktop
or the launcher. So this bug appears to be fixed for me. I also
changed to running the Nvidia Version-Current drivers (not the post-
release driver). Not sure if this is part of the fix but everything
looks good now.

I just finished upgrading my Lenovo S10 netbook from Natty to Oneiric.
Immediately after logging in, I noticed really bad artifacting on the
desktop. I'm attaching a screen shot showing what I am seeing.
This was not an issue with Natty, it's only occurred since the upgrade.
