All my computers are now running Natty, and I do not have any problem.
If I recall correctly, the issue was with an upgrade to karmic, quite a
while ago.
I cannot say whether this is still a karmic issue, but I do not see it
as a natty issue.
As it does not appear relevant to tag as 'Fix Released
I think the live CD runs well on my laptop. The upgrade from 10.10 to
11.04 went well.
But now my laptop is at the shop for repair, someone else can confirm
that it is fixed in Natty ?

There was apparently a problem in the kernel causing X to crash. I'm not
sure but I think the driver was either creating graphic errors or it
could not properly handle real hardware graphic errors occurring on my
system. Installing meerkat fixed the problem and it would stay up
without cras
I can't check it today because I don't have such a laptop. Can somebody
check?

I am still using 8.04 so yes, it is still an important issue for me. It
is unrealistic to upgrade 5 or 6 versions of Ubuntu just to test this,
since upgrading all associated applications, scripts, maintenance
methods, etc. would be required.
