I found:
1. No 3d acceleration
2. No booting problems (3 boots without any kind of problem)
3. When I try to start unity/compiz --replace I get a blank screen (just the

modules is that it has a different kernel module loading process, which
was introduced to support both fastboot/upstart and flicker-free

is basically a dupe to 752940 and 767475 and similar bugs. It is caused
by a conflict with the vesafb kernel module. You can use the xdiagnose
utility to disable that module (or do it manually by blacklisting and/or

Ah, the blank screen issues are apparently DPMS breakage in the kernel
specific to Arrandale graphics chips. Arrandale gfx appears to be used
in many recent thinkpad models, but aside from that it seems not to be a
thinkpad-specific issue.

My Wifi driver is a broadcom and if I turn on the notebook without the
ethernet cable, the errors happen. On others versions, this error don't

I gave it a shot, but I must admit I'm a bit lost since I'm straddling
between two kernel versions 2.6.38 and 2.6.39. I'm not quite sure where
to go. I arrived at git://kernel.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ubuntu-oneiric.git.
I installed various kernel builds from the 2.6.39 line. Here are my
results:

Hi Bryce,
1. I took a break from testing for a few months, so I'm not sure whether
it's a regression. It didn't happen in maverick. The daily I used to
report this bug is the first one I'd used since Unity was released into
natty.
2&3. I re-booted the LiveUSB ten times using the April 20th daily
[Expired for linux (Ubuntu) because there has been no activity for 60
