The same thing happens for me after my laptop switches of the screen due
to idleness. After moving the mouse or pressing the keyboard the screen
wakes up again but greets me with a frozen desktop. Mouse movement still
works though.
Using Ubuntu Natty with the latest updates.

Now I've tried to install it again to see if this fix this issue, but
unfortunately doesn't help :(

mechanism for mapping touch input to a region of the X display, but
there's no graphical user interface tool for setting the mapping. You

I also have an enormous RAM increase since I updated my 10.10 system to
11.04 beta. Whenever I did a fresh reboot of my system it was using
under 300MB RAM from Ubuntu 6.06 to 10.10. Now it is using around 800MB
RAM after a fresh reboot and is going up to 1.3 GB RAM with just Firefox
4 and Empathy
