Ok, thanks for following up. Possibly was addressed by the gpu fix in
2:2.14.0-1ubuntu8 - bug report #719751 is almost identical to this one
and was reportedly improved by that. In fact I think I'll dupe that one

i forgot to say, that before, when i got a heavy load, the system just freezed
for a second until it was able to continue
with the initial maverick packages it was not happening, so i ignore if it is a
