This affects me as well. I don't think it's related to nvidia since I
have intel graphics on my laptop. killall gnome-panel fixes the problem.
It's a painting problem but also a button sensitivity one. What I mean
is, this problem appears somewhere in the icons area on the top-right
and the buttons
it's not related to nvidia.

Same behaviour here, with Elantech touchpad and different apps

Not sure what has happened in the last few days to change this situation, but I

connectivity of the KDE utilities referred to above with the Kensington mouse.
