openGL and with this driver every time I use openGL the screen blinks in
black for a second (I have the same problem in windows xp) so I tried to

This is not a bug fix (in my opinion) it is a workaround which is just covering
up the real problem.
I am unable to start Compiz on a 945 with 2048*1152 resolution presumably
because of this 'fix'.

The same symptoms happend totoday while running Windows XP x64. So this

This issue is still not svolved i have been waiting a long time for a
fix, does i need to switch to other OS?
Now i run vanilla GNOME + Nvidia driver, with all updates.
Please help me!

I can confirm that this bugs affects Ubuntu 10.10 (32 and 64 bits versions).
Until it is resolved, I was able to install both versions following the
