After around 6 weeks I got a freeze again.
My machine is running on a custom Ubuntu-2.6.32.11 kernel (patched for
the x201 internal GSM modem). I know that it's not an official one, but

I hope I am not hijacking this bug. I am using my sonś laptop, which I
set up with a fresh install of 10.04. It is also set up to automatically
log him in since I do not use it very often. He is away so I am using it
and can not log in - the username/password combo is correct (I have
check cap lock

the problem still occurs in Lucid, but only for mouse scroll events.
This can be easily verified by opening xournal, enabling Options->Use
xinput and then, over its main window, press Win+mousewheel to use

On a brand new Lucid install on a desktop machine, after about 10
minutes of use, the display goes to sleep, as if power-save mode has
been activated. This despite the fact that the system is in active use,
with mouse and keyboard input just a few seconds

I tried installing http://people.canonical.com/~hzhang/554569/linux-
image-2.6.32-23-generic_2.6.32-23.38_i386.deb but still get a blank
screen on a Lenovo X201 3249-CTO :-( I'm happy to provide debugging
info, just let me know what you'd like.

Passable stability with drover git716, random screensavers cycle for
several hours, with eventual freezes on open GL (implying that perhaps
upgrade to Mesa 7.8.2 might be in order). Upon freeze, X does not crash,
and desktop can be recovered, however, attempting to open the
