The Synaptics touchpad on my Dell Latitude D530 is not detected anymore after

checkbox's video test uses the xrandr command to do its testing. This
command utilizes the XRANDR 1.2 feature to do its stuff.
The binary -nvidia driver does not support XRANDR 1.2. It isn't even on
their priority list - see

Tested with Tosh 4600 and can confirm still a problem with 9.10 final.
