I have this same bug regularly as well. Only Nautilus seems to suffer
from it though, I haven't seen this problem in other applications yet.
My guess would also be that this is not an NVIDIA specific problem, but
I could be wrong, I do use the NVIDIA graphics driver as well.

Are you sure that this is a graphics driver problem? Theme loading is
not really associated with low-level graphics functions, is it?
