I am not on Ubuntu anymore and my hardware is not the same, but today I
cannot reproduce this bug one my system.
OS : Manjaro Linux
Kernel : 5.10.15-1-MANJARO

It does not seem to be the same issue as

I can reproduce the bug with nouveau, so it should not be related to the
driver.
There is no need to launch any application to reproduce it, it works
from the desktop. I originally discovered this bug while playing

To test for sure, please uninstall the Nvidia proprietary driver and
boot with the default 'nouveau' driver. Does the bug then go away?
