I would add that I have the same problems with Knoppix and Debian, so
this bug is not Ubuntu specifix. I would like to add tag:kernel-bug-
exists-upstream but I do not know if it is OK.

I do not know how to tell better that now, when booting with that older
kernel, screen resolution is OK. That is why send more info about my
hardware.
