I worked arround the problem by running rdesktop with the -b flag - Info from rdesktop man: "-b : Force the server to send screen updates as bitmaps rather than using higher-level drawing operations." Since i did this i havn't had this problem even once, but it takes a heavy toll on the bandwidth,

I have the same problem! ** Description changed: Screen(s) froze in Gnome-shell when i was working in rdesktop. The laptop (Dell E6520) was seated in a dock with 2 screens attached. Both the screen with rdesktop and the one without froze, and i was only able to move the mouse-pointer.
