I installed the recent Linux Mint and the recent Xubuntu 13.10, I'm
running 3.11.0-15-generic on a netbook and this problem still exists!
I have no experience with compiling a new Kernel or anything like that.
I can temporarily fix the problem with the commands
sudo modprobe -r psmouse
sudo modpr
