I apologize for not being specific enough. I found a fix for this on my
machine, but I am unsure what options you may need that I have gathered
together to get things to work but found that I had missed replying to
this bug. I can post material more in depth as needed. Some of these
options help

reproduce the issue here.

I have determined some interaction with easystroke, a gesture
recognition program is to blame here, not Firefox or ATI exactly. The
program easystoke was used to map a side button on my mouse to Super+A,
which activates the "Present Windows" effect in KDE/kwin.

Having the same issue in Firefox and Thunderbird with ATI FGLRX driver 10.8 on
Kubuntu 10.04.1. It appears to be related to ATI drivers after I upgraded from
10.7 to 10.8 of the proprietary ATI driver, however the issue is not seen in
KDE, nor the Konqueror and Ephipany browsers. Just Firefox and
I built xserver-xorg-core and xserver-common with the patch and
everything appears to be working fine again with fglrx that is included
in the repositories for lucid.

Can't use the patch and build instructions anymore on Lucid. The patch
