Public bug reported:
Using Nvidia settings, the 120hz refresh rate is not being remembered
after shutdown or rebooting. Yes the monitor supports 120hz and I use
this setting on Windows 7 all the time.
Using Ubuntu 13.10 64-bit and Nvidia drivers (I chose the "tested" one
on the list).

This bug seems to have been fixed ever since I've had Ubuntu 10.10
(64-bit) installed.
I can play them games in fullscreen - Supertuxkart and Trackballs -
without the bottom part being "chopped off".
Hopefully I won't have to file the same bug report in the next version
of Ubuntu.

I'm having problems with nvidia graphics drivers and fullscreen games.

I'm having this same problem.
I've been helped by the great people in the Ubuntu forums:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1516470
If this problem is fixed, will everyone using Linux (not just the Ubuntu
variety) benefit by having it available to download and install by the
Update Manager?
