MSFT Touchpad not working on Lenovo Legion-5 15ARH
Removed the radeon video card and tried using onboard intel graphics.
Works fine for pixio monitor but not for asus. I suspect it probably
doesn't work for the asus because of bad edid? So it would seem to me
that the problem is somewhere in amdgpu? Is there anything else I can

to be limited at 120 Hz on this monitor as well. I've attached the xorg

Sorry, I realize I left out some detail. I can get 144 Hz if I change
the resolution to 1920x1080 but that's not the native resolution for the
monitor. I'm trying to get 144 Hz / 165 Hz using the monitor's native
resolution, 2560x1440.

I have a Dell XPS 15 and connect over USB C to a display port hub to a
HDMI external monitor.
Sometime in the past few months I ran into this issue. When I would lock
my screen (xflock4) or go into standby the computer would lock up on
resume and I had plenty of the following in the logs.

This bug began affecting me on April 16, 2017. I'm using Chrome 57 and
when I move one window to my bottom 2x2 vertical desktop, the UI is
extremely laggy. Moving it back to desktop 1 resolves the issue
immediately.

Okay, I got out of that situation with the help of the flashrom people.
My BIOS is now updated.
It helped a bit in that I can now define and add my resolution again
using xrandr. It won't stay added though: I need to define and add it
every time I boot. Otherwise, the resolution is not in the Di
No change in 15.04. I can add the resolution with xrandr, and after
that I can use it. But after reboot, I have to do it again.
The upgrade got stuck with a black screen and no networking, but I
eventually got out of it with the "apt-get dist-upgrade" dance from the

The image corruption deals with the hardware cursor. I have seen this
issue as well on my VX900 laptop but it doesn't happen all the time.

I have since failed to re-create this issue. Three successive boots into
live desktop, using the CD, have each got full device operation. Mouse
and keyboard are recognized in X.
This bug should be deleted.
I installed ubuntu onto the hard disk and booted EFI kernel, using rEFInd from

I forced the version of the libgl library to 8.0.4 using syaptic package
manager to get over this problem.
Er how do you unforce the versions so they will update as normal?
