Just to add another minor detail.
After the mouse freezes, its shape still changes depending on the active
window. For instance, if I Alt+Tab to a text editor it takes the cursor
shape and disappears (as it should) after I start typing. After I
Alt+Tab to a browser it appears again and takes the s
I've tested it on Jaunty but it didn't resolve the bug. With desktop
effects enabled I had 3 freezes - after 15 minutes, 20 seconds and 2
minutes. With the effects disabled, I had the first freeze after about
two hours.
