Just what I hoped to avoid when I filed the bug before release.
Recently found a fix on the Internet :
"sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf (it will create this file):
Section "Device"
Identifier "Intel GMA3600"
Driver "fbdev"
EndSection
Save the file
Start the gr
When I boot with previous kernel 3.5.0-6-generic, startup ends up with the
command line.
(I don't know what I should try after logging in to start an X display)

I noticed that one or two weeks ago, did a complete reinstallation of
Lubuntu 12.10 alpha 3 that worked fine until today when I attempted an
update hoping the bug had been fixed in between.
