Public bug reported:
I have two monitors.
The primary monitor will allow me to utilize dark mode however the secondary
one does not!
I am using XORG instead of the new system and apologize for not testing with
the new one.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 24.04
Package: xorg 1:7.7+23ubunt
Bypassing my KVM as you suggested resolved the issue. I appologize for
bugreporting this considering that I should have done this test first.
Many thanks for your help.

Public bug reported:
My monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 226BW. It has an optimal resolution of
1680x1050 which Ubuntu 12.04 is not finding. All I get is 1024x768.
I am able to manually set the optimal resolution with the xrandr command
although I am still having trouble making it stick through
Bryce,
If you are on Skype contact me via separate email and we can
test this out and have clarify the issue. I am about 96% sure that
I tested this with the non-proprietary nvidia driver with a friend and
we still had the problem. If that is the case I am not happy about
the bug being closed.
The problem is still here Lucid <-> Lucid.
The only way it works is if all screen enhancements, i.e. Compiz is
turned off. No refresh happens if any of the special Compiz features
are deployed. With all turned off then screen refreshes to the initiating
machine.

It comes up as unknown as a CRT.
I am using an NVIDIA GeForce 6200 graphics adapter card.
