fx 5500 that normaly function with 173 nvidia driver?

Well when I install the nvidia driver dkms fails with the nvidia propietary
driver
Dkms no fails with nouveau driver but with this driver no go compiz
Card: Geforce fx 5500
Kernel: 2.6.30-5
Driver nvidia-173.4.
