This is still a problem. Closing the bug so that you don't see a
problem that really exists is the Microsoft way of doing things.

I have seen a number of repainting problems once upgrading to 11.04. In
the attached files, the panel is not repainted correctly. In the first
(Screenshot-1.png) the panel is almost completely transparent. Later,
the top level menus reappeared (Applications, Places, Systems
