Hm Crazy, I've got a ATI Radeon 9600 and having the Same Issues... The Funny thing about it is that it worked on a ealier Lucid Installation. I tried removing the Nouveau driver, but It Didn't work :( -- Mouse and keyboard stop working after selecting user https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/566631
