I've attached an archive of all of the logs that I reference in this post. It includes the dmesg and Xorg log output for the 11.04 install. See dmesg-11.04 and Xorg-11.04.0.log. I have not successfully reproduced the working 10.10 system. I booted from the 10.10 live CD and got the expected spas
