Title:
[intel GM965] Corrupted output on either VGA or LCD when trying to
Public bug reported:
When I connect a VGA montor to the output on my Dell Inspirion (Intel
GM965) laptop, all the correct notices go off in KDE to allow me to
setup the 2nd monitor to be above/below etc. the LCD, but one of the
displays is always corrupted afterwards.
Trying with xrandr directly:
This worked fine in 10.04, but was broken on upgrade to 10.10. I'm using
the Kubuntu PPA, with Intel hardware (i915).
As per #16 I had to add the line in the correct section, there wasn't
one to uncomment.

Seems OK here. I only have usb.autosuspend=1 as a kernel param for power
saving, and an auto-generated i.e. mostly empty xorg.conf
No probs in 10.4 beta.

Quote from Storm's URL : " within Mesa there are regressions where we
could not even complete OpenGL tests with the current Karmic stack that
had run fine under Ubuntu 9.04". Although it says the stack has less
glitches, which is at least some improvement.
