I don't know, which resolution your panel needs. It might be possible to
chose the right framebuffer mode. Try this
# hwinfo --framebuffer
Use the appropriate mode hexnumber (16bit mode recommended) as vga boot
parameter.
Example:
Mode 0x0317: 1024x768 (+2048), 16 bits
--> vga=0x317
