I'm not convinced this is invalid. The bug isn't against this package,
but I just upgraded from Lucid to Maverick and was hit by the nvidia
stuff being installed in the process of the upgrade.
There's a bug somewhere in the upgrade process (at least when run from
aptitude) that is causing the nvi
right, I figured that out. However, the ati driver isn't well supported
with this laptop it seems (for instance, whatever flash does to go full
screen it's well supported, so if you full screen in hulu, it's choppy,
but if you drag the pop out window so its full screen, it works fine),
so sticking
actually same exact crash type. though I noticed something differemt,
guess I was wrong.

so I have a W500 with both an intel and ati video card (switchable
graphics).
it works with the ATI driver in Windows, but it doesn't work with fglrx
in Linux. This is in Karmic.

I don't see how its gone on karmic.
I have the issue w/ ATI (FireGL card) on my T42p laptop. plays fine in
100% size, but when expanded to full screen, it goes all choppy. and
the overridegpu doesn't help.
