Just did a clean install of beta 2. The bug's still there.

Tried again with beta 2 - initially I had the same problem.
However, after selecting "acpi=off", "noapci", "nolapic" and "nomodeset"
everything looked fine.
Didn't try this with the first beta though, so I don't know if this would have
solved the problem then.

Screen is weird, partially out of view, visible parts overlapping and/or
flickering.
Boot-up screen is also strange, ubuntu logo is in the lower right corner
(probably a resolution issue).
Had to install using the 'xforcevesa
